Proverbs 10:22
Thing: The blessing of the LORD
Function: it maketh rich (it can make one rich)
Extra Detail: and He (God) addeth no sorrow with it (His Blessing)
What is the blessing actually?
What exactly are the riches talked about?
Why does the writer purposefully add that God adds no sorrow with His blessing? 👉👉👉
👉👉👉 You do Bible study by asking these questions and prayerfully waiting for the Holy Spirit to give you insight into the answers via the scriptures.
It is important not to assume your answers based on experience, head knowledge, or publicly certifiable opinions, but to intently WAIT FOR THE SPIRIT
This is the difference between exegesis (scriptural meaning) and eisegesis (interpretation by one's own ideas)
As you begin to dissect the scriptures and look for the answers, you discover gradually that you've gone beyond the realm of naturalistic head knowledge, and you've been captivated into the realm of historical and scriptural accuracy (accuracy in the sense that your opinions don't sway by time or experiences but become solid as a rock because they are founded upon the inerrancy of the scriptures)
This activates something in you. You no longer get contented with shallow scripts, but long for deeper meanings, after all, deep calls unto deep 🙂, also you see everything as a reflection of CHRIST.
Now, by so doing day by day, you see your face begin to shine and glow because you're glad you heard these things, and it never stops because it shines brighter and brighter unto the perfect day
You get hungry day after day because new meanings are being revealed, you're seeing Jesus Christ through the lenses of the old and new testaments combined, and like a scientist close to the eureka moment, you're never tired but always seek the opportunity to know more. As you're doing this, you'll discover your Bible study is no longer boring by very lively. 👉👉👉
What next?
You look for someone to share the good news & the discoveries with (just like that woman by the well of Samaria)
I tell you, you'll find those people who like you are also looking for whom to share the discoveries with, & you'll discover you are in tune like a perfected musical symphony with them
Little by little, you become 3,4 & it grows as God adds to His CHURCH daily, such as should be saved. You're surprised I mentioned Church, don't be, that's what is called a Church actually.
So that's a Church you wonder!!! Yes, that's it. Don't you ever wonder why the apostles became obsessed with the ministry of the word & prayers?
Acts 6:4 (KJV) But we will give ourselves continually to prayer, and to the ministry of the word
The apostles were actually not going to be deterred; they told others to continue the Administrative work like we're obsessed with today, while they did the Main thing with the spirit.
How did they do it?
So while others were busy with daily ministrations of programs, offerings, welfare, etc, which is all good 😆, the apostles termed those tasks - wait for it - serving tables 😂
Acts 6:2 (KJV) Then the twelve called the multitude of the disciples unto them, and said, It is not reasonable that we should leave the word of God, and serve tables.
Finally, if you really want to grow in faith, leave the ministry of tables and cleave to the ministry of the dissection of the word.
In conclusion, what did Paul tell Timothy?
Serve tables? No. What he said was to study the word like your life depends on it, because it does
2 Timothy 2:4, 15, 21 (KJV) No man that warreth entangleth himself with the affairs of this life; that he may please him who hath chosen him to be a soldier. Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. If a man, therefore, purge himself from these, he shall be a vessel unto honour, sanctified, and meet for the master's use, and prepared unto every good work.
Don't just serve tables. There are always vessels prepared for the tables.
BE PURGED OF SIMPLICITY AND GET DEEPER IN INSIGHT
DON'T PERISH FOR LACK OF KNOWLEDGE
Romans 10:2 (KJV) For I bear them record that they have a zeal of God, but not according to knowledge.
